Infrastructure Lead - 6-month FTC

This is a hands-on position, and you will be part of the Platform Operations team managing the BAU project workload, for the IT services that support the business. IT services that give CFC its competitive advantage in this dynamic marketplace. You will be working with a skilled team, focusing on initiatives and opportunities using cloud technologies to make a material impact on profitability and efficiency in the business.

You will work within the Platform Operations team to help us deliver against our strategy. You will oversee the process of identifying, prioritising work and resourcing while providing upward visibility of progress and updates.

You will have experience managing the workloads of yourself and others within the team. Due to your previous experience, you will be able to come in on day one and hit the ground running to ensure that BAU work is delivered within a timely manner. You will be working with other senior members of the Platform Operations team and wider IT department in a progressive environment to ensure business requirements are met. You will be a part of a high performing team within a global operating model.

About the role

As an Infrastructure Lead you will ensure that appropriate management information is available for key stakeholders in relation the running of IT Operations. You will make sure that troubleshooting and timely remediation is carried out for resultant issues. Oversee the daily operations of the Platform Operations teams to ensure the functionality, availability, support and security of CFC IT systems, data, backups, and communications.

You will ensure effective resource allocation to meet project timelines and deliverables. You will assure these deliverables are robust, secure, and scalable. You will be working alongside Desktop Operations to provide technical oversight and resources as necessary for projects.

We would expect you to assist the Infrastructure Delivery Manager with the coordination of internal and external resources and other activities relating to IT Infrastructure and Operations projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that policies, processes, and procedures for the smooth running of IT Operations are documented, relevant and communicated effectively to those who need to know them.

You will pave the way for continuous improvement, catalysing transformative initiatives within the team and across the organization, relentlessly propelling us towards the zenith of operational excellence.

About you

You will be someone with exceptional leadership skills with appreciation of enterprise mindset. That has experience with:

  • Strong practical evidenced client focus
  • Ability to build and maximize value of strategic relationships
  • A strong understanding of infrastructure and cloud platforms (ideally Azure)
  • Strategic outlook with experience of building partnerships with architecture
  • Strong experience of business continuity and day-to-day technology operations
  • Experience within a leadership role within an IT Platform Operations\Infrastructure team
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers, networks, storage and visualisation
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions
